HEALTH/MEDICAL PROBLEMS & SENIOR PETS
Some medical conditions can make grooming stressful for pets. Please inform the Groomer if your pet has been diagnosed with a heart problem, arthritis, back or neck problems, or any other serious medical condition. Every attempt will be made to minimize the stress which could exacerbate a pre-existing problem. This may mean altering some standard procedures such as not using a heated dryer or expecting the pet to stand still for extended periods. Unfortunately, this could change the final grooming appearance and price (special handling), if the pet becomes excessively stressed or shows signs of medical compromise the groomer will stop, and you will be contacted about the best way to proceed.
THE OWNER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR LISTING ALL MEDICATIONS ABOVE. **WE WILL NOT ACCEPT DOGS WHO ARE PRESCRIBED PROZAC.
SERVICE
Grooming Done Wright reserves the right to refuse service to customers whose pets may pose a threat to our employees and other pets left in our care, whether it is behavioral issues, health issues, or parasites.
PRICING & PAYMENT
Prices are non-negotiable and must be paid in full at the time of pickup. We accept cash, NO CREDIT CARDS, AND NO CHECKS. Pricing varies for each dog and is determined by breed, site, and condition of the dogs coat. Additional charges may also apply due to the dogs temperament and behavior during the grooming session.
NO-SHOWS & CANCELLATIONS
No-shows and cancellations within 24 hours, are subject to a $30.00 fee per pet. We understand there maybe be emergency situations and we will work with you, but not on a continued basis. Please be respectful of our time as we are an appointment business.
BITING
You must inform us if your pet has a history of biting. This will help prevent injury to us and your pet. it your pet has behavioral issues, we are happy to work through them with you, if the behavior issues require extra time, we will charge an additional fee. If you fall to disclose a pets history of biting, Grooming Done Wright disclaims any liability of your dogs biting other dogs, their owners or staff.
AGGRESSIVE DOGS
The groomer’s safety and that of your pet is our primary concern. To prevent career ending or physical injury to your groomer and your pet, the groom will be over when it becomes dangerous for either the pet or the groomer. There is a minimum charge of $50 or more if this occurs or if another groomer needs to be added to the groom. It is up to the owner to inform Grooming Done Wright of any aggressive behaviors your dog has displayed in the past that may impact grooming.
ANAL GLAND EXPRESSION
I understand that Grooming Done Wright are not veterinarians. They cannot make a determination that the anal glands of my pet are simply full or they are impacted or abscessed. I understand that manual expression of impacted or abscessed anal glands can lead to medical complications.
MATTING AND SHAVE DOWNS
Please be advised that in cases where pets are MATTED, it puts that pet at a higher risk for getting clipper bum, nicks/cuts, and even a hematoma. Therefore, we stress the importance of regular grooming. It is the owners responsibility to properly brush/comb their pets' hair regularly (same as if you would care for your own hair daily). We do not practice de-matting a pets coat, it is inhumane. If your pet ever comes in matted our stylists will have no other choice but to SHAVE the pets coat down to a SHORT SUMMER CUT and EXTRA fees will apply.
EAR PLUCKING
I understand that plucking hair from my pet’s ear canal may irritate the ear canal as well as create tiny wounds in a closed environment which makes the pet susceptible to infections.
I hold harmless, Grooming Done Wright from any liability or financial responsibility arising from any injuries during or directly afterwards as a result of the ear plucking on my pet.
